The goal widgets show the goals you run on Twitch. Make a goal in your Twitch Creator Dashboard, and the bar on your overlay fills as followers, subs and cheers come in. No refreshing, no typing numbers in by hand.

Pick your goal

In the overlay editor, open Widgets → Goals:
  • Follower goal: new followers toward your follower goal.
  • Sub goal: your sub goal, whichever kind you run. Twitch runs one sub goal at a time and lets you pick how it counts under Sub Count:
The widget follows whatever you pick and labels the numbers to match, like 1 / 10 subs or 8 / 50 sub points.
  • Bits goal: your Bits goal. On Twitch it counts either Bits cheered or cheerers (each person who cheers counts once). Both start at 0 when the goal starts. The widget follows whichever you pick: 1,200 / 5,000 Bits or 8 / 25 cheerers.
Twitch runs one goal per kind at a time, so you can have a follower, a sub and a Bits bar on screen together. Add a widget for each.

Making and changing goals

Goals live on Twitch. Twitch doesn’t let other apps create or edit them, so you start, change, and end goals in your Creator Dashboard. Manage goals on Twitch in the widget settings takes you there. The widget picks up the change on its own. If there’s no active goal of its kind, the widget shows nothing on stream. In the editor it tells you so.

Reconnect Twitch (accounts from before goals)

Reading goals needs a Twitch permission StreamWizard didn’t ask for before. If you connected Twitch before the goal widgets existed, the widget settings show a Connect Twitch button. One trip to Twitch and you’re set. Until then the bar can’t load or update.

Designs

Pick a look under Design. Every goal widget can use every design, and switching resizes the box to fit. Arcade switches the font to Press Start 2P when you pick it. Change it back if you like.

See it before you go live

The settings have four test buttons: Start, Progress, Almost there (90%) and Reached. They play a fake goal on the canvas, or on your live overlay when the demo bar is set to Live. After a test, Back to your Twitch goal puts the real numbers back. A Live test on your stream clears itself after 15 seconds.

Settings

  • Title: leave it empty to use the goal’s name from Twitch, or type your own. If neither has one, the widget shows no title.
  • When the goal ends: keep the full bar up, or hide it a few seconds after the goal ends.
  • Show: title, numbers (120 / 500 subs), percentage, how many to go (12 subs to go), and an icon: a heart for followers, a star for subs, a gem for Bits, or your own image.
  • Colors: a solid fill or a two-color gradient, the track behind it, the text, and corner radius.
  • Text: font, weight, size, and a shadow that keeps it readable over bright games.
  • Motion:
    • Flash on progress: a short glow each time the number goes up.
    • When the goal is reached: shine, glow, confetti, or nothing.
    • Goal starts and Goal hides: fade, slide, pop or shrink.
If reduced motion is switched on in the system settings of the computer running OBS, the widget plays it still: no confetti, no pouring or waves, and fills jump straight to the new number.
